Primary PE Resources

Primary PE Resources: Introduction and points of Consideration

What are Primary PE resources?
Primary PE resources are the Physical Education Resources designed for primary children to ensure progression in physical growth.

Why PE Resources?
Keeping pupils in their growing age of 6 years to 12 years engaged in physical education needs various engaging resources. Not just drawing their attention, but keeping them engaged with interest and enthusiasm needs new resources and ideas from time to time.

Points to consider:
A varied range of concepts is taken into consideration while designing PE lessons and activities.
While designing primary PE resources, the school's physical education plan of the school is to be considered if they are being designed for primary schools.
Resources must be designed with a holistic approach. Children need to realize their potential to grow into better individuals.
Some must be designed for the development of a child as an individual while others need to be designed for team integration.
Collaborative tasks must be designed to inculcate social values and enhance performance both as an individual as well as a team in competitive environments.
The resource must meet the requirements to let learning and teaching get intersected.
Inspiration and Motivation are the driving forces and spirit of staying motivated need to be met with.
Resources must pay attention to generating the sportsman spirit and keeping the values high. A good sportsman spirit introduced to a child while growing in sports increase the volume of the child not just as a sportsperson but also as an intellectual being.
Resources must be designed in a proper sequence considering the age groups.
Boosting confidence while making children getting to learn is an important consideration. For balanced physical growth, the mind needs to be in a state of learning. Losing confidence in years of growing may hinder them from moving ahead in sports. This can hamper both mental and physical growth.
